CCMC 248

Good morning, Friends! It's time for the Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have a color challenge for you! Take a look at these fabulous colors!

Midnight Muse, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit are the colors that we are assigned to work with. All part of the wonderful In Color family! Here is how I used them!

Another simple card for me! I took a piece of the Print Poetry designer paper and stamped the butterfly image from Summer Solstice in white StazOn. This is adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the flower in black StazOn onto Summer Starfruit and used the Summer Starfruit and a blender pen to give it more dimension. I stamped the leaf image twice in black StazOn onto Gumball Green and used a Gumball Green marker and blender pen to give them some dimension. The leaves are adhered to the back of the flower I popped this up onto the card. I used a marker to ink up the first part of the sentiment onto a strip of Crumb Cake and flagged the end. This is adhered to the card. Then I threaded some linen thread through a vintage faceted button and adhered it to the flower center.

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other designers did with these colors! So many variations!! I hope that you are inspired to play along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

  1. These colors look great paired with Crumb Cake. It gives them a very earthy look. I am sure you will hear lots of comments about your butterflies so let me be the first to say how much I love them stamped on the background paper!

  2. Love this. Love the butterflies stamped on the DSP...looks really cool with the words showing through. This would be a great card for any occasion...and right up my coloring!

  3. Awesome, awesome background Deb. So pretty how you integrated the butterflies the way you did!

  4. Beautiful card!! I love the stamping on the DSP, so soft and pretty!

  5. Simple or not, this is a beautiful card! You've given it so much visual texture with your choices of paper and stamps! I love it!

  6. Those butterflies are just gorgeous stamped in white on the DSP! It may be simple, but it looks like a million bucks!
