Paper Players 113

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I have to confess that I am not. Yesterday before we left my friend Sherry's house I was not feeling very good and my eye was almost swollen shut. A five hour drive home and I slept most of the way. My stomach wasn't upset or anything but I just felt awful and my head hurt!! Poor Becky! I was just an awful passenger. I went to the doctor right when I got home and he has diagnosed me as having shingles. What??? Anyway, I am up this morning trying to do what I normally do and it is very hard. :( But I will try to press on...

My card today was inspired by last week's challenge at The Paper Players to use banners on a clean and simple card. And here's mine! I stamped the jar Perfectly Preserved in Early Espresso onto a panel of Very Vanilla then the stem in Lucky Limeade and then the flowers in Island Indigo. I pierced a circle around the flowers with the paper piercing essentials pack. I added three banners made from the Orchard Harvest designer paper and popped this panel up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the greeting by inking just the words with an Island Indigo marker. Finally, I added three rhinestones. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Perfectly Preserved; Paper- Very Vanilla, Orchard Harvest designer paper; Ink- Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade; Accessories- paper piercing essentials pack, rhinestones, dimensionals

  1. Aww, poor Deb. I hope you're feeling better soon. You're card is so pretty, great layout. But then I always love your designs.

  2. Aw...you weren't an awful passenger...just very quiet :)

  3. Very cute card. Don't try to soldier on, rest, rest, rest. Shingles can be quite serious, so rest up, stay nourished & hydrated & get better soon.

  4. I sure hope you're feeling better! Shingles must have been quite a surprise. You're card is simply perfect. I love the placement of your banners.
