SSC 248

Good morning, Friends! Boy did we have a windy day around here yesterday! No wonder Nick didn't feel good. His allergies were at an all time high! Now today I am feeling my sinuses acting up, too. Ugh! The dust was blowing so thick all day long! I really hate the wind like that! But now it should be calm and nice. If we could get some rain that would help settle it all...

Today's card was inspired by the sketch challenge at Stamping 411. I like these kinds of sketches where you can show off some of our beautiful designer papers! But which one to show off - lol! I decided on the Mocha Morning specialty papers. I haven't used them in a while and this one is flocked. It is so pretty that I don't want to cover it up so this design is perfect! My card base is Crumb Cake. Then I cut another piece of Crumb Cake down a bit and added a layer of Basic Black and then the beautiful designer paper from Mocha Morning. I tied a piece of Basic Black satin ribbon around this panel. Then I stamped the sentiment from Sincere Salutations and added three rhinestones before popping the panel up onto the card base. A very simple card! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Sincere Salutations; Paper- Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Mocha Morning designer paper; Ink- black StazOn; Accessories- Basic Black satin ribbon, rhinestones, dimensionals

  1. Deb, this is beautiful!! Love your bow and the rhinestones!

  2. This is gorgeous! I love how you did the bottom element. You just used your cardstock and didn't put it up on a punch. I think it's awesome! I dig that paper! :)

  3. Deb -- your card is so simple but so elegant -- just beautiful! Thanks so much for playing along this week on Stamping 411! Blessings, Gretchen
